Your Nan has been with us since January, and recent concerns were raised. We responded promptly, asking for a review of her care plan. We aim to support residents' independence. Her dietary needs have been addressed, and speech and language referrals made to assess safe food consistency. For now, her NOK agreed on soft food. She prefers to feed herself, which may result in spills. On two occasions, a nurse offered medication during meals, but her NOK suggested giving it after. We've asked for meetings with you and the NOK, and referrals are in place. Public platforms don't fully reflect her needs or the steps we've taken. Family expectations can differ from the resident's needs, especially with multiple NOKs. We have provided two responses since, and a meeting is still pending. Issues like skin condition and continence are discussed with her NOK, but information can be misunderstood. We want to meet to clarify actions taken and agreements with her NOK.
