We are very sad to read your views. Whilst we will not share details of the care of your loved one publicly, it is clearly never our preferred route to give notice to any resident. Such a decision is given very rarely, and only with a huge amount of thought about whether the resident's needs can be met. It was clear to us, and to social services, that specialist provision was required in this case. The weight loss figures you quote are factually incorrect, and you do not highlight that your loved one maintained, and even gained weight for the first five months of their stay with us, only suffering a significant weight loss whilst in hospital, subsequent to which their health declined sharply. There is also no evidence to suggest any incorrect information was passed over to the new home. Given your concerns were so great, it comes as a surprise that you did not choose to give notice to us yourself. We wish you and your loved one all the very best at this difficult time.
