We are disappointed to read such a negative review, whilst we appreciate that there was a lack of information provided to us from the hospital during our preadmission assessment we endeavoured to rectify this with you during our family meetings. We understand that families are typically invited by social services to visit the home and meet the team once a resident is assessed and accepted, so we are unclear why you were not invited. We refute the allegation that the room was dangerous and dirty as every room is deep cleaned and signed off prior to admission. With regards to the "mangled light" this was never reported to us and upon further investigation, no such issue has been identified. It is never an easy decision for us to serve notice on a resident. However, we have a duty of care to uphold in respect of our other residents and staff members. We are confident that we did our best to work with you as a family and we hope that your mother-in-law has settled well into her new home.
