We are deeply sorry to hear about your loss, and our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. We understand that transitioning a loved one into a care environment can be emotional, and we strive to make this process as smooth and supportive as possible. However, we feel it is important to address some inconsistencies and inaccuracies in the feedback provided. While the feedback acknowledges that our staff are "friendly and have good intentions," it also makes serious claims about neglect and inadequate care, which are completely untrue and contradict the earlier positive statement. Our team worked diligently to provide appropriate care for your mother from the moment of her arrival, including administering medication and ensuring her comfort. The assertion that a resident experienced a fit and was left unattended is another false claim. We have no record of such an incident. What was likely observed was a resident with advanced Parkinson's disease, a condition that can cause noticeable physical symptoms. Misinterpreting this as a fit and then accusing our team of neglect is not only inaccurate but unfair to our dedicated staff. Additionally, the claim that your mother was left in a reception area is incorrect, as Havengore House does not have a designated reception for residents. Furthermore, describing her room as a "prison cell" is unfounded. It was a standard single room, promptly reassigned to another resident after her departure, reflecting its suitability. We also recognize that cultural perceptions of care homes can vary, and we respect all beliefs. However, it became evident that preconceived notions about care homes influenced your experience, leading to dissatisfaction regardless of our efforts to address your concerns. At Havengore House, we are proud to care for 30 residents and consistently receive positive feedback for the quality of our services. While we regret that we could not meet your expectations, we remain committed to learning from every experience and welcome further discussion to address your concerns.
