Thank you for your review. I am delighted that you found the care your husband received, particularly at the last week of his life, was very good. We have had difficulties in recruiting to the Activities position and every effort has been made to resolve this, and we are making some progress. Staffing levels are higher than the industry guidelines and this is in recognition of the care needs of the residents on this unit. Providing specialist chairs is generally arranged through the GP who then must arrange for an Occupational Therapist to assess before requesting the seating required. We do try and ensure this happens without delay. It is sad that some residents have no one close to visit or to sit with them and we do our best to provide what comfort we can. It is lovely that you were able to stay with your husband.
