Thank you for your feedback. Built in 1879, Springwood House was the former residence of Sir Arthur Percival Heywood, innovator of the 15-inch minimum-gauge railway and became home to Duffield Bank Railway. Set in the valley of the River Derwent, Duffield is a picturesque, peaceful village that skirts the southern fringes of The Amber Valley. All 27 individual rooms are furnished to a style in keeping with the character of the house, with most having en-suite facilities.
