Thank you for your review and for raising your concerns with regards to lack of activities. We agree, this has been an ongoing issue and since our Wellbeing Co-Ordinator resigned in June of this year, we have struggled to successfully recruit to the position.
In the absence of a Co-Ordinator, we have arranged for external providers to visit the home, including a lady who holds exercise sessions and a lady who comes with her pat dog who the resident's adore.
Our staff have supported mum when she chose to be responsible for the management of the dining room, she has also been assisting with the fresh flower arranging and will be assisting this week to decorate the home ready for Halloween, with the support of staff and daughter of one of our residents.
We understand the importance of stimulation for those living with dementia as well as for those who do not and are dedicated to recruiting the right person to position as soon as we can to ensure our residents wellbeing.
