I would like to apologise to the family if they feel that they didn’t see me enough. I try to have an open door policy and offer relatives and residents meetings when I arrived at the home and on regular basis after that. I try to accommodate all relatives, as some work during the day, by having a ‘drop in’ manager’s surgery first Tuesday of every month till 7pm. I do appreciate that this isn't always suitable and will try to offer an alternative.

Relatives can discuss any concerns they may have directly to me. I understand that at the difficult time with your loved one these options may not have been suitable and I am pleased that our house manager was able to support you at your time of need, again please accept my sincere apology to you and your family members.
