Dear Martin,
I would like to reassure you that our last CQC Inspection in April 2016 rated the home as ‘Good’ across the board. This is clearly displayed on both the Homes and CQC websites.
Our staffing levels for the home are based on both the number of residents in the home and their care needs. These are reviewed on a weekly basis by myself and the Deputy Manager so they reflect the accurate dependency levels in the home ensuring we have the correct number of staff.
However I am sorry if you feel your Father is not getting the stimulation and social contact that he has had previously and I have discussed this with the staff on his unit and they are going to continue to try and persuade your Father to join in with the Homes activities and in addition try and ensure that he is able to have the game of Pool and more one to one contact that I know he enjoys. I am sure you are aware that on many occasions it has been difficult to persuade your Father to join but we will continue to encourage him.
I hope this response has answered your concerns but it you would like to meet with me to discuss this further then please do not hesitate to contact me at the home and we can arrange a mutually agreeable date and time
Yours sincerely,
Jean Hiley
