We have had some staff leave and new staff start in recent months. We have varying levels of need at Rosewood as such at times some staff decide that the dementia care industry is maybe not for them, however we have recruited some lovely staff who are experienced in Dementia care and as our reviews and latest CQC inspection are showing are very caring and treat all residents with dignity and respect.
We have 2 activity coordinators as such we have entertainment and activities on a daily basis every day, as Our activities board, newsletters and photographs evidence. All residents are supported to take part in activities but some decline and are much happier to sit and watch, this in itself being an activity at times.
We offer treats every day, we have cakes and sweets, crisps, chocolate and encourage families to let us know what "goodies" their loved ones like.
We have trips to the sweet shop and blue water and often enjoy ice creams of many varieties including the local MacDonald's that manage to cope with order of 40 mac-flurries.
Fish and chips from the local chippy is a regular treat. Our cooks provide home made cakes on a daily basis
We also have a pringle machine and sweet machine that residents have access to if they fancy a little treat at anytime, day or night.
