Thank you for taking the time to send in your comments regarding your husband’s stay at our Cedar Grange Care Home. I am glad to hear that you found our overall standard good along with the cleanliness and the rooms.
I am very sorry to hear however that you found other aspects of the home and care received by your husband poor and I would like address these concerns for you.
Our Cedar Grange Care Home isn’t a nursing home, it is a state of the art dementia care centre which focuses on a wide range of different activities that our residents can relate to, from completing everyday tasks to cinema visits, cake decorating and ball games. All of these activities however are optional and if our residents do not wish to participate in any particular activity, then their wishes are respected. The social worker who assessed your husband before being admitted into our home, agreed that this was the best home for him and he did not require nursing care.
All of our carer’s are committed to delivering outstanding personal care to all of their residents, treating everyone with dignity and respect as they would wish to be treated themselves – the ethos of Cedar Care Group is that our residents are living in a home they feel comfortable and safe in.
Our in-house chef provides a varied menu, preparing fresh home-made meals on a daily basis and all of our residents are encouraged to eat a healthy and balanced diet, taking into account their own likes and dislikes.
I would like to apologise again for the less than satisfactory experience of the home that you have encountered. We do have an open door policy at our home, as well as holding regular resident family meetings where we encourage any issues to be raised in order that we may deal with them directly. If you would like to discuss any of your concerns in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact the home and our Registered Manager will be happy to speak with you.
