Howard Court has a paved courtyard 25' x 30' which is bordered by numerous, boxes, tubs and hanging baskets containing flowers and foliage. Although we are a locked unit, during the warmer months, residents are encouraged to sit outside on our oak garden furniture to enjoy the sunshine, chat with staff, or partake in ball games. Residents also help with the planting and harvesting of vegetables in our recently acquired raised bed.

Our home was originally part of a coaching inn with bedrooms of various shapes and sizes, some of which, still contain the original oak beams, which we believe adds to its character.

All our meals are prepared daily from fresh produce sourced from local suppliers. The main meal is served at lunchtime with a smaller meal for dinner. Portion sizes are specific to a particular resident's wishes and tastes, with an option always available. However, should a resident request a dish they particularly like, we will do our utmost to produce this for them.

Entertainers frequently visit to offer music therapy or church services, which residents are encouraged to get involved with. Bingo, 'What's in the Box' and indoor bowls are other examples of the activities which regularly take place, not forgetting, the animals which visit for residents to pat and stroke.

Here at Howard Court we think of our Residents as part of our family and are passionate about the care we offer them. I am extremely disappointed with the review we have received and, quite frankly, surprised it has taken the reviewer (the name of whom has never signed into our Visitors Book) 11 months to compose.
