Dear Joanna, we have read your review and confirm we investigated and invited you to attend a review meeting to discuss 1) the choices that your father made in relation to what he chose to eat 2) you gave our staff instructions in relation to personal hygiene, which goes against national guidance, and our staff refused to do this. We invited you to attend a meeting to discuss this and you decided not to attend. We are sorry that we could not follow your instructions in relation to personal hygiene. Care providers must promote choice, respect dignity and encourage residents to make choices for themselves and follow their wishes of what to eat and drink etc. We regret that you have chosen to leave a review of this kind instead of attending a meeting or engaging with us. If you would like to discuss this further, we would be happy to meet you and discuss this. All the best.
