Thank you for your review, we appreciate all feedback received as it helps us to improve our service where required. The ground floor is for residential residents and we expect and indeed promote a certain level of independence. There is a maximum of 25 Residents and we have always allocated a senior carer and two care assistants to this floor, even if there is a reduction in the occupancy. Staffing levels are measured against the dependency of the Residents and when there are more Residents with higher dependencies, we put an extra member of staff on the ground floor to help - this may be just in the morning, around meal times or on some occasions for the whole shift. This has occurred more so lately than in the past, as we have had an influx of new Residents. The staffing at night is sometimes increased from two to three, and we have a good relationship with the local colleges and universities so it is rare that we do not have a student on work placement too. We have struggled to recruit to our Wellbeing Coordinators maternity leave, however, the care staff have been working very hard to entertain those Residents who do want to take part. We have had some wonderful entertainers visit the home, and we have regular armchair exercises, sing alongs, rookie golf, weekly bus trips and the students do a lot of one to one reminiscing. Our planned Christmas program of activities is exciting and sure to please. We do hope this puts your mind at rest, however, please do speak to the Home Manager should you require further information or assistance
