We are delighted your Father is happy with the care he receives and enjoys the food.  Our home is a community and we are very grateful to the Resident who alerted the care team that your Father had left the home, we will seek to ensure this does not occur again.  To support this, we have reviewed our practices and would like to reassure you that access to the home is strictly monitored via a video link and all external doors have confidential key codes. The security and safety of all our Residents is of paramount importance. We have a specialist pharmacy provider who serves the Company to a high standard however unfortunately on this occasion, because your Father was undertaking a respite stay, he did not have the benefit of this overarching service. Following consultation with the GP surgery, we are confident that such an error is less likely to occur in the future. We recognise the importance of timely administration of antibiotics and as a team we value the lessons learnt from this.
