We would like to thank you for taking the time to review Tegfield House. Your comments and suggestions allow us to grow and improve, and we hope that you will feel satisfied with the responses below and with the ongoing care we are pleased to be providing for your loved one.

We appreciate that at times it may appear that the home has less staffing than other times, this may be due to supporting the needs of those living with us or changeover of a shift. We would like to assure you that even during these times, management and ancillary staff are supporting the home and, in some situations, we will use agency staff to ensure we remain at safe staffing levels. The agencies we work with are known to the home and we are confident they have trained appropriately and know our home. We are continuing to recruit to vacant positions and will be welcoming new team members shortly where they will, no doubt, prove to be an asset and further enhance the care provided within the home.

Regarding trips out, our Activity Coordinator, working with the rest of the staff team, ensures there is a variety of meaningful activities each day, and this includes trips and outings, however, can sometimes be dependent upon the weather – we already have several trips planned for the Spring and Summer. In the meantime, Tegfield House remains happy to support our residents who wish to go out with their friends and families. We always welcome new ideas to provide stimulating and meaningful activities in the home and invite people to speak to the team about future events.

Regarding the size of our lounge, at the present time we are unable to extend the lounge, and whilst we like the idea of a conservatory, adding one would, unfortunately, block the light for several of the ground floor bedrooms. The suggestion of a conservatory is interesting, and this is certainly something we can discuss as an idea. The lounge area has been arranged to accommodate as many people as possible, however, we do have additional sitting spaces in the lobby and other areas of the home, including the dining room.

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me, and I will be happy to discuss with you.
