At HC-One we encourage relatives to communicate with our staff in an open and transparent way and we are more than happy to offer support where we can to ensure our Residents receive the best and kindest care available. At Lunan Court we maintain an open door policy to ensure staff, family, Residents and relatives feel able to communicate any concerns they may have. Relatives are invited to engage in the care planning procedure offering input on a monthly basis as a minimum. This is followed up by a six weekly review where the full care package is reviewed with relatives, care managers and the nursing team. We also run monthly Managers surgeries and relatives meetings where any concerns can be discussed. Within the Home we have a relative’s communication board which provides information from the NHS regarding dementia care and several information leaflets that may also be beneficial to our Residents and visitors.
