Staffing ratio is always maintained at an optimum level to meet the care needs of service users meeting CQC requirements and guidelines.
There may be occurrences where and when more than one care assistant is required to assist a resident's need and the nurse is on medication rounds leading to a delay in attending to buzzers. Reviewer might have experienced this during such rare occasions.

We are working towards installing a Tassimo in a designated drinks area and the reviewer was informed of this earlier. Accounting to the costs and allocating budget is in the process and it is disproportionate to leave a negative feedback based on considering the quality of care we had been providing to the related service user.

We have a dedicated kitchen (Five star kitchen since 2006 - inspected and rated by Bassetlaw District Council) which caters for individual needs for our service users. All relatives are informed to request the kitchen for any drinks and we go the extent of offering free lunch upon good notice - remarked 'Good' for food and drink.
We do our best to our service users and Blyth Country House is known for its nursing care - we have had 11 hospital admissions in the last two months, of which most are end of life care.
