Staff receive continuous training throughout the year which includes dementia training as a priority- all training is currently up to date and inline with CQC requirements. Two secure outside roaming areas are available to residents (weather permitting) and staff are on hand to assist residents should they wish to access these areas.<br>Since the council has now cut its minibus mobility service, the home has been unable to offer the same level of outside day trips it previously did. However, the home has set aside funds and is raising funds for private disabled coach services which can be as much as 10x more expensive. We will be endeavouring to organise 1-2 big outside trips per year. This is regrettable but unavoidable due to council cutbacks in services.
