Hi Gavri K.
Thank you for your review.
We are slightly perplexed by this review, whilst you have noted some positive comments we are somewhat concerned with the 'not so positive' comments, allow me to clarify.
With regards to "Lunches were adequate" - All meals are cooked fresh on the day, onsite, using fresh ingredients only and where possible using ingredients which are sourced from local suppliers i.e. local butchers, markets, farm shops. We also where possible use Fair Trade products which is something we are proud of and is well documented in the local newspaper and online.
The Client in question often commented very positively on the meals provided, at times requested to have the same meal again during the next visit which was honoured.
With regards to "Activities: Poor" and "Chess, Cribbage, Billiards" - Holmesdale Day Care prides itself on being bespoke and person-centred. This was highlighted during the initial needs assessment and is also highlighted in our printed literature and our website.
We provide activities and entertainment that are bespoke for our clients' individual interests, rather than encouraging our clients to take part in something that does not interest them - the Client's day with us at Holmesdale Day Care has to be meaningful for them. The client in question was provided an array of entertainment and activity options, however, the client requested Opera, internet surfing, newspaper reading, one to one discussions, videos and regular discussions about internal lighting which was a core hobby - Chess, Cribbage and Billiards were never requested.
Hence, we are perplexed by this review.
Thank you
