We are currently running with appropriate staffing numbers on both floors and in May we increased our staffing numbers on the ground floor by 5.5 hours. Staff are very busy and work extremely hard but they do take the time to speak with residents and spend some time chatting with them. The home manager does two walk rounds of the home every day and spends time talking to residents. Our wellbeing coordinator now does 1-1 sessions with residents and spends time chatting, playing games and even reading to them at their request. With 45 residents in the home, we feel that staff do a wonderful job interacting with all residents when their time is so precious supporting and caring for each person and their specific and individual needs.
