Thank you for expressing your concerns. The sheltered housing flats have been part of Town Thorns for over 25 years. They provide an independent living option separate to our care home.  We have been reviewing the service provided to residents with a view to ensuring it is financially sustainable and meets acceptable standards moving forward.  As we are working through this change there is some upheaval for the residents which regrettably is distressing, but this will settle down once plans have been implemented.  Monthly meetings are being held with the Care Services Director around the current plans and all residents are invited to these meetings to participate and input into the ongoing discussion around services in the sheltered housing flats.  At the last meeting on the 25th October, plans were discussed around the incoming telecare system, cleaning of flats and transport and residents will seem improvements in these areas over the coming months.
