It is a shame to have received such a defamatory and negative review. Ordinarily, we welcome reviews, be it good or those that contain constructive criticism so that we may improve our service, should it prove to be the case. The allegations within this review were escalated to the Inspectorate for Care Homes (The Care Quality Commission, CQC) who raised its own investigation in relation to the above. All allegations were answered fully and the case was closed very quickly. For those that may have concerns regarding our service etc, please contact me directly and I will be happy to supply a list of all residents family contact details, who can be approached anonymously, to share their experience of the quality of the home and the care given, I am confident it will be a very different one from this review. Update 21st January 19 regarding food standards. On June 18, the commercial gas cooker underwent its scheduled annual inspection and was found to be emitting too many carbon emissions and was deemed to be unsafe. The environmental officer happened to be on site at the same time, and as such, this lead to a very low food rating score of 1. It had nothing to do with the cleanliness of the kitchen or the quality of the food. The commercial cooker was replaced with an electric one within two weeks and the other minor areas of the report were dealt with speedily. The environment officer came back Jan 18th 2019 and upgraded the score to the highest attainable (level 5).
