At HC-One, we put great quality food and best practice food service at the heart of the care programme for residents, key to their health and wellbeing, to ensure residents reach their recommended daily intake of nutrition. To do this we have access to an innovative management system to aid us in nutritionally analysing the HC-One menu cycle to ensure targets are achieved. Menus are planned to follow two seasons which change in April for spring and summer and October for autumn and winter. Within each season a four-week menu cycle is followed. Chefs are provided with these set menu cycles and a minimum bank of 300 nutritionally analysed recipes. Traditional favourites will be repeated otherwise main meal dishes, desserts and snacks will not be repeated more than once in a four-week cycle. Our residents participate in menu planning and if there is something on a menu that a resident does not like then there are always alternatives available daily.
