As you know Colten Care and yourself had a number of challenges, particularly around communication, whilst your mother was in our care. Having investigated the comment further it appears there has been a misunderstanding during the telephone call regarding the pain assessment. We are confident that the staff team, who cared for your mother, knew that she was not in any pain at that time. We are also confident that the team was able to recognise if your mother was in pain at any time. We are sorry that you didn’t feel able to share this complaint with the home directly.

We worked closely with your mother's joint power of attorney and professional agencies, including our regulators, who have endorsed the home for the high standard of care provided. The scores associated with the management and treating individuals with dignity are not scores associated with the home. We have every confidence in the home’s management team. The feedback we have received from others, reassures us that individuals are treated with dignity and respect. I am sorry that we have not been able to have a more amicable relationship with you whilst your mother was a resident with us.
