We are sorry that you were not communicated to in relation to visits to the service and apologise for any distress this may have caused to yourself and your family. As I am sure you appreciate, Government guidelines are changing frequently in response to the escalation of Covid-19 and as such we endeavour to communicate information as quickly as possible to all our relatives throughout our services. Unfortunately, at the time of your visit, the restrictions in place stipulated one consistent visitor which the service adhered to. All our Next of Kin contacts were telephoned to advise of the changes to visiting however it appears you were not present on the contact lists. We have reviewed our system in relation to this and updated our records accordingly to minimise the risk of any such incident of this nature occurring again.
