Firstly we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to you for your loss.
Last year has been difficult for the whole nation and we at Sebright have had to take unprecedented actions to keep all service users safe.
Your wife did come to Sebright on D2A basis. She was frail but in the calmer home setting, she was improving and had gained weight. She was doing so well, that the CHC asked you to look for a permanent care home for her.
Goodbye: If the passing had been expected then you would have allowed to visit.
Funeral directors: Unfortunately your wife's body had to be moved before the days end and you had to make this difficult decision.
Possessions: The hospital had sent us a box of possessions that was eventually passed on to you. We understand how upsetting it must have been to find someone else’s possession.
When 'visiting restrictions' are lifted we would love you to visit Sebright and meet staff who cared for her and also speak to other families who have been visiting for many years.
