We are sorry that you feel you have not been sufficiently involved in your mother-in-law’s care. This case involves a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals outside of our organisation, including a GP. All care notes have been recorded in line with CQC requirements and are available to view by the person with lasting power of attorney. Trips and visits are risk assessed in line with the resident’s care plan and in line with COVID restrictions. We can see from our records that this care plan has now been read by the family. As you mentioned, our staff have been communicating with you and we do try our utmost to ensure family members are communicated with consistently so they can be involved in the care of their loved one as much as possible. However, we appreciate that this has been challenging during the pandemic when restrictions have been in place and guidance has changed at pace. We will take your feedback forward to ensure we improve on this in the future. Kind regards
