Oakfield has at all times followed government guidance and advice, while taking into account the particular circumstances within the home, to ensure the safety of all patients and staff. <br>The issue of patient visiting has been of concern to all care homes, and Oakfield is not in isolation. The problem remains the high risk of infection passing from a visitor to the patient, who then infects other patients and staff resulting in death from Covid. Covid is highly infectious and has not gone away. <br>We will continue to act within Government guidance, but also with due regard to our nursing experience and responsibilities, to safeguard all patients.<br>Regular updates have been sent to all next of kin with regards to visiting, and we are more than happy to discuss any concerns regarding these.
