We want to give our deepest sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your grandmother. She lived with us here at Dan-Y-Bryn for 17 years and was part of our family. Towards your gran's end of life unfortunately her care needs increased and she needed more care than we could provide in residential care, so qualified nurses and carers from the community visited and provided end of life care to your gran at Dan-Y-Bryn four times a day.
In your review you mentioned trying to get extra money, this was discussed in a best interest meeting with the nurses and your family that if your gran was to be moved into a nursing home rather than remain in residential care the fees would be increased as fees are higher in nursing care homes.
Fortunately, your gran stayed in her home at Dan-y-Bryn and was cared for very well.
She passed away peacefully surrounded by people she knew, she had regular visits from her family who were by her bedside throughout her end of life care.
