In regards to the restrictions during Covid outbreaks, the home (both now under Care UK management but also when run by Sunrise) has always followed the local and national rules and guidance from Public Health England (PHE), as all care homes should be doing. Although I realise that, during the short time periods that these are in place, they can be frustrating to residents and of course their loved ones too, it is important that we follow all policies put in place by PHE and the government to make sure we are doing everything we can to keep everyone, particularly residents, as safe as we can. I would also like to reassure you that the team in the home – from management to care colleagues – are fully trained to support all residents, particularly during these changeable times, including to keep in touch with family members using specially adapted Covid-safe visiting rooms. We of course hope that restrictions will ease for everyone soon, and will keep family members and residents fully informed as we have throughout.
