We were very sorry to receive your review. As you know, the home was in a major COVID outbreak at the time, and the home had to follow the rules in place regarding end-of-life care, visitors and testing. The home accommodated family members at the home all day and it was the night team that had the conversation regarding people leaving. Since November 2021, we have never received a complaint, nor has anyone instigated a conversation regarding dissatisfaction around the treatment of family members, or the nursing care provided to your mother at the time. We cannot accept the comment that the home and nursing teams are a ‘disgrace' or lack ‘humanity’. COVID regulations were harsh, the home had to abide by them and did their level best to accommodate the family ‘within the rules’ on that day and into the night. We are sorry you felt that you could not have discussed your concerns with us before now and had reassurance. We remain very sorry for your loss and pass our condolences to all.
