Dear familes and friends
You will have seen the new Scottish Government updated visiting guidance for Care Homes. There was a lot of information in this guidance which was shared we us on 12th October 2020. The guidance was us to balance the risk of COVID-19 for residents in a care home with the benefits of receiving visits from their nearest and dearest.
Although there is a nervousness in the home about opening up to visitors we are aware the time is coming to introduce visiting in an appropriate and risk-assessed way.
We are making preparations to have a dedicated visiting room in the home to keep you, our residents and staff safe during indoor visiting. As soon as I have more information and a date when we envisage the work will be complete I will be in touch with you again. If you have any questions please contact me directly.
We are still encouraging window visits and weather permitting outdoor visits.
You have all been so patient and supportive of us during this time for which I thank you wholeheartedly. Staying away must have been so hard for so many of you but by doing so you have helped us keep your loved one and all of our staff safe.
Kindest regards Sharon
