I recently visited my friend in their care home and was impressed by the warm and caring atmosphere. The staff were friendly, attentive, and treated residents with kindness and respect. My friend seemed happy and well looked after with lots going on to keep her engaged. It was reassuring to see the genuine care and support provided.

I find the home and staff very welcoming, my mother and step father has been here since just before Christmas, and although they are having trouble settling, the staff are very punctual and helpful.

Had a good visit to Mum on Thursday 13th November. Three of us had lunch with Mum which was very tasty, thanks to the chef. Enjoyed after driving in the pouring rain to get there. Staff were very attentive, table service was much appreciated. Thank you all.

I cannot speak more highly of the love and care my mum receives at Ardenlee. The staff are so kind and caring and our family are so grateful knowing that my mum is well cared for. I live in Cyprus and my brother lives in Australia and my other brother lives in Oban so we rely heavily on great communication regarding my mums health etc. this is provided expertly by the staff. Nothing is too much for them, they go out of their way to help us. When I visit the atmosphere inside the home is warm and loving and happy, they arrange activities and excursions which is so important for the residents. They give the residents a sense of purpose and importance. I will be forever indebted to them. All of the staff are lovely but I would like to give special mentions to the manager and a few others in particular.

My husband entered Ardenlee in May after a long stay in hospital. He was immobile, confused, depressed and almost non-communicative.

After being in there for 3 weeks, he is a different man. Still immobile but moving around with the help of staff. Ardenlee is bright and the staff are helpful and cheerful. My husband is taken to the lounge to mix with others. I believe this has helped his cognitive skills, which were fading. Staff communicate with myself & family to give regular updates. I am pleased that we put him into Ardenlee.

My wife has been in Ardenlee Care Home since August 2024, so it is now 6 months in the home and my three daughters are very pleased with how she is looked after and we are happy with every aspect of the care. Everyone has been so kind to us all and everyone looks after my wife so well, she is now settled and as happy as she can be.

Ardenlee Care Home is an excellent care home. My mother-in-law when admitted, was a very frail old lady with dementia refusing to eat. Basically starving herself. After 6 months of being cared for, she is back to the woman I knew. The staff are very attentive and friendly and the home itself is spotlessly clean. I cannot praise it enough. Well done to all involved in the running of this facility you are providing first-class care all with a smile on your faces!

My dad has recently moved into Ardenlee after a very long stay in hospital. Dad has settled in well already and I have found the staff to be engaging with both of us. Nothing appears to be a problem to the staff and they are all happy and smiling with residents. There appears to be a wonderful rapport between residents and the carers, which is wonderful to watch.

I can't thank the staff team at Ardenlee enough for what they have done for Mum since she moved here in July, I've never seen her so happy, confident and sociable as she is now. She loves all her weekly trips out to the craft club, library, supermarkets and her favourite sewing shop to buy more wool. The new activities coordinator has been fantastic at getting everyone involved in a selection of fun daily activities and putting big smiles on everyone's faces. We really enjoyed the family dates, the Halloween party and bingo night were 2 of our favourites!

When I was advised that I was coming to live at Ardenlee Care Home, I had no idea of what to expect, I was met by two of the lady carers who, to my surprise, met me with a very warm welcome. The carers then led me to my room which is lovely, has a great view and to my surprise, has its own toilet with a door into the bedroom. The room has a wardrobe, fitted shelves and a very nice, comfortable bed. I have plenty of drawers for my clothes and shelves plus a wardrobe and very good shelving for my many books. In short, I love my room. Thank you so much. Thank you to the carers.

Ardenlee Care Home have been fantastic during the covid period. Every lockdown, our relative was still able to see us, as they did face-to-face calls. Our mum has been well looked after, no complaints. She is fed well and taken to the toilet frequently. She also gets activities done with them. Most of the staff have been there for years.

My Uncle was a resident here for over a year until he sadly passed away. I was comforted to know that, although no family were with him when he passed, he was surrounded by people who truly cared for him. The home always had a very welcoming atmosphere. There was a variety of communal areas, so plenty of scope for residents, depending on whether they wanted to join in one of the many activities, have a quiet cuppa and a chat with someone or watch some TV. The home has some lovely outdoor areas and garden with beautiful views across to the Clyde coast. The staff are all great, the manager and two other members of staff, in particular, being especially supportive. This place really did feel like home.

My mum was a resident in Ardenlee before she passed away. During her stay there we had the most amazing precious time, in what was very difficult circumstances, the manager and staff made it a wonderful experience for us all. They are the most loving, caring understanding and fun people I had the wonderful privilege to meet, every one of them. I was made to feel very much at home, it felt like I was visiting my mum at home with an extended family. Their love, care, and understanding when it came to my mum passing away, was so dignified, they could not have done enough. Words are not really enough to express my thanks. They helped me make very precious everlasting memories. Thank you.

My mum was in Ardenlee and was very confused when she first went in. All the staff were very helpful and catered to her needs (even made sure she had her cans of favourite drink) which she loved. The staff were a fun-loving group who went beyond their duties many times in ensuring the patients had all their needs met. I became close to a few of the girls there and they all had hearts of gold. Can’t say enough about them. I will always have fond and loving memories of each and every one of them. I definitely would recommend this home to anyone.

I have found Ardenlee to be a first-class care home, and feel happy and at peace knowing that my dad is well looked after and truly cared for. Ardenlee is in a lovely location. On my first visit to Ardenlee, I found it to be lovely; it had a lovely feel to it. It also seemed nice, light and airy, and spacious. The manager and her team are all lovely, caring, friendly and professional. I am truly grateful for everything they do. A marvellous team, doing a marvellous job. An excellent example of a truly caring and professionally run care home.
