Maintenance Operative  Location : Wing View Care Centre, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 0NY Pay Rate : £14.49 Per Hour  Contracted Hours : 35 Hours Per Week  Shift Pattern : 8:30am- 5:00pm Monday - Friday  ABOUT THE ROLE Our property estate is a mixture of sizes, ages and services. As we modernise our portfolio of homes; we are refurbishing some with others being brand new, contemporary care homes. With this investment into our property, we need more people with the right mix of skills and passion to ensure that our homes are kept well maintained and safe. As a Maintenance Operative you will need to maintain a safe and well presented environment by carrying out compliance checks and general maintenance across our care homes. Support contractor attendance and property improvement activities and programmes. In joining us, you’ll also become part of our extended family. You may also have a Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Facilities Services (or equivalent) but this is not essential. You’ll be comfortable in an elderly care setting, with the ability to relate to our residents in a caring and sensitive manner. Confident working on your own initiative, and with a positive attitude and good communication skills, you’ll prioritise your work schedules to meet the needs of the Home and its residents and be committed to providing a well-maintained environment for everyone who lives and works in the home.
