Our newly built care home is located in the charming suburb of Pinhoe, Exeter. We provide outstanding Nursing, Residential, Dementia, and Respite care for 67 residents who deserve the very best in compassionate support.
As a Day Care Assistant at Alexander House, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our residents enjoy their days with dignity, independence, and personalised care. You will be part of a friendly, supportive team committed to making every day meaningful and comfortable for our residents.
What We Offer
- £12.50 per hour
- Flexible contracted hours of 33 or 44 per week
- Pension scheme, paid DBS, onsite parking, and uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata, based on a full-time contract)
Your Role
You will assist residents with daily activities such as
dressing, eating, mobility, and personal care, always promoting
independence and respect. Following individual care plans, you will
observe and report on residents’ wellbeing, communicating any concerns
to nursing staff.
You will encourage social engagement and support residents to enjoy a fulfilling day. Working alongside your care and housekeeping colleagues, you will help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Your kindness, patience, and positive attitude will help make Alexander House feel like home to everyone.
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred but not essential
- Previous care experience is a plus, but passion and a caring nature are key
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful with a genuine interest in supporting others
