Nestled in the beautiful seaside town of Selsey, our luxurious care home offers exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 70 residents. We take pride in delivering the highest standards of care in a warm, welcoming environment.
We are now looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. Whether you have worked in a care setting before or not, what matters most is your love for great food, your ability to manage a team, and your dedication to creating meals that truly make a difference.
As Head Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents enjoy tasty, nutritious meals every day. You will have the opportunity to use fresh, seasonal ingredients, lead a supportive kitchen team, and be part of a care home that values both culinary excellence and resident wellbeing.
What We Offer
- £18.00 per hour
- 40 hours per week

What You Will Do
You will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of
the kitchen. This includes preparing and serving meals that meet
residents’ individual dietary needs and preferences, planning menus in
collaboration with the Group Executive Chef and Home Manager, and
managing kitchen staff rotas. You will also ensure hygiene standards
are maintained, stock is managed effectively, and all food safety
regulations are upheld. As a key member of the leadership team, you
will contribute to a positive, well-run home where residents look
forward to every mealtime.
What We’re Looking For
- City & Guilds 706 1 & 2 or equivalent (achieved or working towards)
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Previous experience managing or supervising a kitchen team
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience preparing meals to suit a variety of dietary needs
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Experience in a care home or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential
