Overlooking a picturesque boating lake and the Irish Sea, Lakelands Lodge provides a beautiful setting for both residents and staff.

As Turnaround Home Manager, your mission will be to take this service to the next level - leading with integrity, clinical governance, and a commitment to excellence. This is your chance to be part of a fast-paced, highly successful, and expanding private care group, where exceptional leadership is recognised and rewarded.

Why This Role Matters
Lakelands Lodge currently holds a ‘Good’ CQC rating, but in our professional view, there are areas that require immediate and decisive clinical oversight to sustain and improve this grading. This is where you come in.

We’re seeking a Nurse-qualified, governance-led leader with a proven track record of turning around underperforming care homes. You’ll bring the insight, energy, and people skills needed to drive continuous improvement, elevate care standards, and embed a culture of safety, compassion, and high performance.

  •  Demonstrable success in turning around struggling elderly care services.
  •  Strong operational acumen with experience managing large private care homes.
  •  Expertise in compliance, governance, and clinical oversight.
  •  Confidence in multi-agency collaboration and liaising with commissioners.
  •  Proven ability to drive occupancy, manage fee performance, and deliver excellent resident outcomes.
  •  A values-led leadership style, with emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust and motivate teams.

Current Performance Snapshot

  • Occupancy: 88%
  • Agency Usage: Low reliance
  • CQC Rating: Good (requiring stronger clinical leadership to maintain and improve)
