Join Our Team at Linden Lodge Nursing Home – Cook Position Available

 Location: Linden Lodge Nursing Home, Warton, North Warwickshire (B79 0JR), near the village of Polesworth

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook to join our friendly Kitchen Team at Linden Lodge Nursing Home. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of our residents by preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals in a warm and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head of Catering to plan and prepare daily menus that meet the nutritional needs of our residents.
• Ensure safe storage of all food items, regularly rotating stock and checking use-by dates.
• Prepare, cook, and serve meals to a high standard, ensuring correct use of kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen, participating in regular cleaning routines.
• Supervise kitchen assistants and support their development.
• Adapt meal schedules to accommodate the individual needs and preferences of our residents.
• Present meals in an appetising and appealing manner, served at the correct temperature.

What We’re Looking For:

We welcome applications from individuals who are confident in preparing wholesome, home-style meals using standard ingredients. While formal chef training is desirable, it is not essential—experienced home cooks are encouraged to apply. Full training in food hygiene and health & safety will be provided.

Position Details:

• Employment Type: Full-time (Job share considered)
• Salary:
  • £12.55 per hour (Monday to Friday)
  • £13.84 per hour (Weekends)
