About the rolebeginning or
As a Deputy Home Care Manager, You’ll be given a great deal of responsibility and will lead by example, and will be supported by out team of seniors. Driving your team and pushing for continuous improvement daily ensuring that standards are met and procedures are followed. You’ll provide person-centred and quality driven care to ensure that you make every day better for the people who live and work in our home. 

The role involves working on the floor with your team, with additional time at the beginning or end of your scheduled shift, allowing time to conduct audits and ensure that care records and medication audits are up to date, whilst working the floor  you will be able to monitor staff ensuring competencies are conducted and any concerns are addressed accordingly.

Working with the manager of the home, completing necessary CQC notifications, producing, updating of care plans and reviewing care plans amongst other duties.

Hours of work will be 37 hrs per week  shifts will be 7am to 4pm  and 12.30pm to 8. pm   maybe required to work 7am to 8pm  on call once a week may be required 

About you

As this is a leadership role, you should have a minimum of three years experience in a care home setting at senior level,

  • a thorough understanding of  best care practices
  • legislation and governance frameworks
  • great communication skills, able to build relationships with local commissioners and professionals
  • the ability to inspire, lead and manage a team
  • excellent time management skills, able to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines

Skills / Qualifications:

  • NVQ 4 or equivalent
  • Level 5 in Leadership and Management or working towards
  • Experience at senior level for a minimum of 2 years in a Care Home setting
