Job summary

Duties:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Oversee and manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Collaborate with the manager/care team to plan menus and create new dishes
- Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a chef or cook
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious dishes
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Position is within a care home environment with Elderly residents, some with dementia.

Position is for 7am to 2pm and we operate on an A week. B week.

A week shifts would be Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

B week shifts would be Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Due to working with vulnerable adults the position is subject to a DBS check and 2 references.
