Shape the Future of Specialist Complex Care in Leeds
Alderbrook Care Home is no ordinary service. With 160 en-suite
bedrooms and state-of-the-art facilities, we’re redefining what
high-quality, person-centred complex care looks like. Our first 40
residents moved in last year, and with a brand-new 120-bed extension
opening in September 2025, this is a rare opportunity to play a
leading role in shaping a flagship service from the ground
up.
Don’t let the size put you off, while Alderbrook has capacity
for 160 residents, the home is carefully split into smaller,
self-contained communities. This makes the service more personal,
manageable, and supportive for both residents and staff.
We’re
now looking for an experienced and inspiring Deputy Manager to join
our senior leadership team and help drive our ambitious vision forward.
Why Join Us?
At Alderbrook, you’ll be part of something exciting. Not only
will you help lead a state-of-the-art care home, but you’ll also shape
a new standard of complex care in Leeds. In return for your expertise,
we offer:
- Competitive salary up to £60,000 (DOE).
- Full-time, permanent role with clear career progression.
- The chance to be at the forefront of a major new commissioning project.
- A supportive, values-led organisation that invests in its people.
About Alderbrook
Set in the heart of Shadwell, Alderbrook combines modern design
with warmth and homeliness. Residents enjoy landscaped gardens, a
cinema, hair salon, lounges, and an adult-appropriate sensory room –
as well as freshly prepared meals from our in-house chefs. Bedrooms
are fully integrated with technology for safety, comfort, and personalisation.
We specialise in supporting adults with a diverse range of
needs, including:
- Complex dementia care
- Acquired brain injuries and strokes
- Neuro-disabilities (e.g., Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, spinal injuries)
- Mental health conditions such as schizophrenia and BPD
- Physical health conditions, including motor neurone disease
- Respite and end-of-life care
Our approach is rooted in dignity, choice, and collaboration with
residents and families. From chair yoga to karaoke, gardening trips to
bespoke exercise programmes delivered with the Leeds United
Foundation, life at Alderbrook is about living well, whatever the challenge.
Your Role
As Deputy Manager, you’ll work closely with the Home Manager to
provide clear, confident leadership to a large and growing team.
You’ll ensure clinical excellence across the home, support with CQC
compliance, and drive best practice in specialist care. Importantly,
you’ll be a visible presence on the floor, mentoring, guiding, and
empowering staff to deliver outstanding care every day.
This is a
role for someone who thrives on complexity. Whether it’s managing
specialist care pathways, supporting with the commissioning of a major
new service, or balancing clinical and operational priorities, you’ll
bring expertise, resilience, and vision.
What We’re Looking For
- A Nurse-qualified leader (RMN ideally, but RGN with complex care experience considered).
- Strong clinical knowledge of dementia, neuro-disability, and/or mental health care.
- Experience managing and developing teams in a care home or healthcare setting.
- Excellent understanding of compliance, governance, and best practice.
- A passion for innovation, person-centred care, and making a lasting difference.
About us:
You’ll be joining a values-led care home that’s part of the Care
Concern Group, a family-owned provider with over 100 care homes across
the UK. We’re expanding rapidly and are committed to delivering
high-quality care and support to our residents. If you’re ready to
take on a rewarding role in a growing and supportive environment, we’d
love to hear from you.
We believe in delivering care to the
highest standard, and our five-core values guide everything we do:

These values define who we are and underpin everything we do,
from the smallest interaction to the most complex care. If you live by
these principles, this is a place where you can belong and truly make
a difference.
