Care Assistant

Job summary

The primary role of a care assistant at Inchinnan Care Home is to assist residents with practical tasks that they cannot manage themselves or may need encouragement to complete independently. These tasks can include helping with washing, dressing and going to the toilet, assisting residents to eat and drink, helping residents to move around the home and escorting residents to appointments.  Caring for residents at Inchinnan means playing an active role in their lives and therefore care staff are also responsible for assisting residents to participate in meaningful activities.

Every resident is unique, they have strengths and weaknesses, hopes and fears. Care Assistants at Inchinnan will get to know each resident and participate in providing care that is as unique as they are – person centred care.
