We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our Home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and experience in a care home setting. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring food safety, and creating delicious meals that exceed our residents expectations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the menu specifications
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
• Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a care home environment
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and hygiene practices
• Excellent cooking skills with a passion for meal preparation and presentation
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• A culinary qualification is desirable but not essential
