Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual eager to make a real difference in people’s lives? Agudas Israel Housing Association is seeking a Domestic Cleaner to join the warm, supportive team at Beis Pinchos, our vibrant Jewish care home in North London.

We are looking for an experienced Domestic Cleaner who is highly motivated, organised, and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will thrive working both independently and as part of a close-knit team.

Purpose of the job: To provide an acceptable standard of cleanliness around all areas of the home.

Main duties: 

1.  To clean all designated areas in the home to the required standard.

2.  To ensure that the bathrooms, shower-rooms and toilets are kept in a clean state throughout the period of duty.

3.  To maintain an acceptable standard of cleanliness in residents rooms, including the making of beds and the changing of bed linen as appropriate.

4.  To advise the senior staff on duty of any defects in furniture fittings.

5.  To operate cleaning and polishing machines, observing appropriate safety use and avoiding hazards to users of the home.

6.  To advise the Senior Domestic or Senior Officer on duty of ay defects on cleaning equipment.

7.  To maintain the kitchen area to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

8.  To maintain the area appointed for storage of equipment in a clean and tidy manner.

9.  To undertake additional cleaning tasks that may be required from time to time.

10.  To work as a member of the staff team and attend relevant training sessions and staff meetings as directed.
