Job summary
We are looking for an outstanding Activities Coordinator with a passion for delivering excellent care.
Cygnet Paddocks is our all male specialist neuropsychiatric hospital located in Widnes, in the North West. The service provides a dedicated care pathway for men affected by acquired brain injury or neurological conditions, where behaviours that challenge are the overarching impairment to recovery and rehabilitation.
You’ll be working 40 hours a week at Cygnet Paddocks. Working times to be discussed at interview.
Please note: A Driving license is required for this role. For Insurance purposes, applicants must be 21 years of age or over and have held a full UK driving license for at least 2 years.

- Develop, plan, implement & oversee activities, outings & events for the people in our care
- Provide fun & constructive leisure time, as well as appropriate physical & emotional support
- Ensure the provision of staff, space & materials for all activities
- Supervise, oversee & develop colleagues
- Oversee the creation of promotional materials for events

You are...
- Experienced in health care or similar setting (minimum of 2 years)
- Able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and proactive approach to working with individuals with complex needs
- Experienced in planning, resourcing & carrying out events & activities, supporting individuals with facilitating meaningful activities that enhance patient wellbeing
- An excellent role model who knows what good care looks like
- Highly organised, with a positive attitude
- A confident public speaker & facilitator
- Knowledgeable of suitable activities & pastimes to support mental health service users
- Positive in your approach to working with challenging behaviours
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
