Commissioning Home Manager | Hazelbrook Care Home
At Hazelbrook Care Home, you’ll lead the opening and growth of an 80-bed specialist service, designed to set new standards in complex care, dementia, and mental health support.

About Hazelbrook Care Home

  • Location: Leicester, LE3 1LQ
  • Capacity: 80 beds across four self-contained 20-bed bungalow-style households
  • Care focus: Specialist nursing care for complex needs, advanced dementia, and mental health
  • Design: Purpose-built for calm, therapeutic living which creates a real sense of home

Your Commissioning Journey
From your first day, you’ll be at the helm of Hazelbrook’s transformation, leading every step of its launch:

  • Months 1–2: Open the first 20-bed household (Unit C), focusing on dementia and complex nursing care.
  • Months 2–6: Phase in Units D and B, growing your team and culture organically as occupancy builds.
  • Months 6–9: Full home opening (Unit A), achieving steady-state operation and excellence.

You’ll lead recruitment, registration, and occupancy planning, ensuring the home launches smoothly, safely, and in line with CQC expectations.

About You

You’re not just an experienced manager. you’re a builder of culture and a leader with heart.
You bring energy, empathy, and structure to the challenge of launching a new service, balancing clinical excellence with human warmth.

You will be:

  • A Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, or RNLD) or an exceptional non-clinical leader with proven commissioning expertise.
  • Experienced in complex care, neurological, dementia, or mental health settings.
  • Skilled at workforce planning, recruitment, and CQC registration.
  • Confident in stakeholder engagement. From families and MDTs to commissioners and regulators.
  • A visible, values-driven leader who brings calm, focus, and inspiration to new teams.

Your leadership style is open, collaborative, and rooted in dignity, trust, and continual learning.
