Job summary

Benslow Care Homes were formulated in 1982 as a family run concern.  We have three care homes across Hertfordshire offering residential and nursing care across Hertfordshire.  Robin Hood is a beautiful Residential care home situated in Little Gaddesden, at the edge of the National Trust Ashridge Estate.  The setting is a calm and tranquil setting in the countryside and as such we are looking for a Senior support worker who drives to join our team.

Our aim is to be the best that we can be and we could not deliver great care without a great team.  You will be person centred in your care delivery and support and mentor the care assistants to deliver the same in an equal fair environment. 

As senior care assistant the role is to:

• Support the home manager and his or her Deputy in all aspects of the home’s management, including taking temporary complete charge during the absence of the Home manager or their Deputy.

· To supervise and participate in the delivery of care to the residents.

· To lead on the responsibility of residents individual care documentation ensuring a person centred approach

· To help train junior members of staff in all aspects of their work in the home

· To follow company policy and procedures

· To provide effective leadership for care staff through supervision, support and mentoring in all aspects of care.

· To be responsible for the administration of medication

· Work effectively with others within the home to ensure that resident’s

· To support senior members of staff in all aspects of the homes management.
