Commissioning Home Manager | Alderbrook Care Home, Moortown, Leeds
Up to £80,000 per annum (DOE) + Bonus + Private Medical + Pension
120-bed Complex Care Service | New Commissioning Opportunity
Alderbrook Care Home is a newly refurbished, 120-bed complex care service in Moortown, Leeds, with six units across the home and the ground floor now ready to welcome its first residents, Alderbrook provides general nursing, complex mental health nursing, specialist dementia care, and a spinal injury unit. This is a rare opportunity to lead a large, multi-faceted service from the ground up.
About the Role:
As Commissioning Home Manager, you will take full operational
and strategic responsibility for Alderbrook, leading the home as it
opens fully to residents. Your mission will be to deliver exceptional
care standards, achieve a Good rating at the first CQC inspection, and
drive occupancy growth across the service. You will lead and develop
teams across all units, embed robust systems for quality and
compliance, and work closely with the Regional Director and CRM to
convert enquiries into admissions.
This role requires a leader
who is hands-on, approachable, and commercially astute, able to
balance operational excellence with business performance. You will be
instrumental in building Alderbrook’s reputation locally and
developing strong relationships with families, regulators, and
community stakeholders.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience
as a Home Manager, ideally in complex care, mental health, or
specialist dementia services, with a proven track record in multi-site
management. Prior commissioning experience is highly desirable, though
not essential if you can demonstrate how you would approach opening
and growing a large, complex service.
You will have strong
commercial acumen, including experience driving occupancy, managing
budgets, and delivering KPIs. Compliance and quality are
non-negotiable, and you will have a strong history of CQC success. RMN
is preferred given the mental health referrals, though RGN or RNLD
with the right experience and ethos will be considered. A Level 5
Leadership & Management qualification is also required.
Your
leadership style will be visible, motivating, and inclusive. You will
lead by example, inspire teams, and drive fast, sustainable growth
while maintaining the highest standards of care.
Why Alderbrook:
- Lead a newly refurbished 120-bed complex care service with huge growth potential.
- Work closely with a supportive, hands-on Regional Director and dedicated CRM.
- Join a dynamic, innovative senior leadership team with a shared ambition for excellence.
- Shape a home that will set new standards in complex care, mental health nursing, and specialist dementia.
