Located in Aberdeen, Dee View Court Care Home is a specialist forty three bed service providing expert neurorehabilitation and long term care for adults with complex needs. We are seeking a dedicated Chef to support the delivery of high quality meals that promote the health and wellbeing of our residents.

What We Offer

•  £13.61 per hour
•  Contracted to 35.25 hours per week
•  Three twelve hour day shifts worked over seven days on a rolling rota
•  Weekend and public holiday working included as part of the rota
•  Pension scheme, Paid PVG,  Uniform provided
•  5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

What You Will Do
You will prepare, cook and present meals to a consistently high standard while ensuring that food hygiene, safety and dietary requirements are fully met. You will support the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen and supervise Catering Assistants when required. You will maintain accurate records, ensure that equipment is used and cleaned safely, report any maintenance needs promptly, and follow all health and safety procedures. Your work will contribute directly to a positive dining experience that enhances residents’ comfort and wellbeing.

What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: (have or working towards)

•  Level 2 Food Hygiene or above
•  NVQ or SVQ Level 2 General Catering or equivalent, or working towards

Experience and Skills

•  Experience working in a commercial or care home kitchen
•  Ability to prepare meals for large groups and adapt to varied dietary needs
•  Knowledge of COSHH, health and safety and HACCP requirements
•  Strong teamwork and communication skills
•  Ability to maintain clear written records and follow procedures
•  Comfortable engaging with residents in a respectful and supportive manner
•  Competent IT skills
